I am the proud principal of Summerside, and I consider myself privileged to be here to serve students, families and faculty as each of us discovers and grows our best selves at our lovely new school in the Summerside/Avalon community in Orleans/Ottawa. Our school reflects our community - we have a diverse student population, and we strive to create an environment that is rich and nurturing for our students to collaborate, innovate and take care of each other.
Summerside Public School is a bright and open building, constructed to match our bright new South Avalon community! The school has been designed to create flexible learning communities, where students can work with technology in breakout spaces, - hubs - in the hallways, and also explore their learning outdoors, in the gym, the library and in our classrooms. The school is well-equipped with new furnishings and resources. Most importantly we bring cutting edge educational expertise - backed by research - to ensure students are successful, innovative, collaborative, and caring members of our community.
